The right to higher education is very important for Solidarity foundation. Three student dormitories of Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv were significantly damaged as a result of a Russian drone attack on May 25, 2025.
To restore safe and comfortable living and learning conditions for students, funding in the amount of 2.2 million hryvnias was secured. Our foundation Solidarity ensured the project was implemented in the shortest possible timeframe and engaged a donor to cover the costs.
As part of the project, 101 doors were replaced and 187 windows were fully renovated. Thanks to the partnership between Global Empowerment Mission Ukraine and Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the window replacement was completed. The implemented works restored safe and comfortable conditions for students’ living and learning.
