Context and Challenge
Kindergarten No. 9 “Ivasyk-Telesyk” in Kozyntsi village (Kyiv region) required renovation. The old roof structure, worn-out windows, and damaged plaster and roofing — caused by a recent nearby explosion — needed restoration to improve the building’s energy efficiency and ensure a comfortable environment for the young children.

Solidarity Contribution
The renovation of Kindergarten No. 9 “Ivasyk-Telesyk” was carried out in two stages.
Stage One: Roof Restoration
A new roof was installed, the wooden structures replaced, external insulation with mineral wool applied, and a drainage system added.
Our foundation provided all the necessary materials, including timber for the structures, metal roofing, components, mineral wool, and the drainage system. The building is now reliably protected from weather conditions and temperature fluctuations.
Stage Two: Facade and Windows
The walls were insulated, the facade was painted, and windows and some doors were replaced with PVC windows and doors. Window sills were installed, and the plastered slopes were painted.
The Solidarity Charitable Foundation provided all necessary materials—from mineral wool, plaster, and facade paint to PVC windows, doors, and window sills.
As a result, the kindergarten is now warmer, cozier, and more welcoming for the children.
Results and Impact
On September 1, 2025, Kindergarten No. 9 “Ivasyk-Telesyk” in Kozyntsi opened its doors to children with a fully restored roof and facades. The 926 m² building is now more comfortable and functional, serving 60 children out of a total capacity of 75.
