TYTANOVI — we help veterans return to civilian life

Project goal: To ensure the reintegration of veterans into society by helping each of them find their place and return to civilian life
Context and Challenge

War represents a significant challenge for veterans. For each of them, psychological and/or physical trauma is compounded by a new challenge: returning to civilian life. This challenge can be particularly difficult for those who have suffered severe injuries, including amputations.

Veterans deserve support that matches the contribution they have made to the defense of the country: medical, psychological, social, and material support.

It is impossible to meet these needs through isolated actions alone: a comprehensive and systemic approach is essential.

The TYTANOVI projects, which our association has partnered with, perfectly illustrate this approach. They provide support that spans rehabilitation, readjustment, and reintegration.

TYTANOVI Rehab
About the Project

The first step on the path to a fulfilling life for veterans who have undergone an amputation is restoring their lost physical abilities. Modern bionic prostheses are manufactured at the TYTANOVI REHAB center, where a unique osteointegration technology is also implemented: this is a process in which the bone fuses with an artificial implant. The implanted element becomes an integral part of the body’s natural structure and can support a bionic prosthesis.

Special attention is also given to the psychological state of veterans: the center’s specialists help them cope with phantom pain, overcome psychological aftereffects, and adapt to using their new prostheses.

Our association supported the creation of the modern TYTANOVI REHAB center with a contribution of 3.42 million UAH.
We funded:

  • the purchase of materials necessary to equip a space of nearly 500 m²;
  • the acquisition of all sanitary equipment;
  • the outfitting of a kitchen designed according to the needs of veterans during their recovery phase.

Project:
TYTANOVI Village (Housing for Veterans)
About the Project

Veterans deserve our deepest respect. They have carried the colors of Ukraine and defended its values, often at great personal cost. Many of them have been seriously injured and carry deep wounds in both heart and body.

Solidarity and the Tytanovi Association decided to join forces to provide 15 veterans in Protsiv village with townhouse-style homes.

Each of these homes includes specific adaptations to improve accessibility, such as widened doorways, step-free showers, modular kitchen layouts, and private elevators. They are designed to promote independence and ensure safety.
