Five months into its operation, the Lviv support and protection centre, in the creation of which the Leroy Merlin Solidarity Foundation played an active part, has become a home for almost a thousand Ukrainians.
Hope, kindness and protection are what the Ukrainians welcomed by the centre receive. It is located in a two-storey building and offers 17 rooms, several bathrooms, a kitchen and a dining hall. It can accommodate up to 70 people at a time, allowing them to take refuge and rebuild their lives.
The Leroy Merlin Solidarity Foundation has donated around one million hryvnias in building materials to renovate and fit out the centre. This is an extremely important contribution to the mental comfort of Ukrainians who have been deprived of their homes as a result of incessant bombing.
The creation of such a centre became possible thanks to volunteers from the Voznytskyy Foundationwho for several months renovated the premises with their own hands. Their willingness to support those who need it most is an extraordinary example of civic solidarity and caring.
Let’s join forces so that we can provide even more support to those who have found themselves in a difficult situation.
